![]() ![]() ![]() Incidentally, now is an excellent time for Switch players in North America to grab several multiplayer titles. This is partly due to its unusual hybrid design and partly because Nintendo is the console manufacturer with the heaviest focus on local multiplayer. Note: Four player play is available only as a doubles match. The Nintendo Switch is perhaps the most unique of the current-gen consoles. ![]() Don¿t go for an obvious pattern, but switch it up a bit to surprise your opponent. The two tips that I can give are to always try for cross court shots and to alternate between shot types. There are no special shots, or anything, so there are few surprises. This game plays a lot like Mario Tennis and is very simple. The pitcher pitches himself here¿ Otherwise all the rules of baseball apply here.Īll the rules of tennis are explained in the game itself. To get a hit all you have to do is get it to one of the hit holes on the far wall. Catching the ball gets an out, as can be hitting the back wall in certain places. At the start of each inning the batter spins a wheel to see what outfield panel they get, if any. Shoot from angles to increase scoring potential. Keeping out goals is as good as scoring goals. My best advice is to keep a tight defence. There is also a single-player tournament mode. One of the best mini-games in Monkey Ball 2, you have to shoot down other players with your machine gun and rockets! Try to stay behind your current opponent and hit him with as many missiles as possible before closing in and finishing him with regular shots. Reload often and kill any bullets that are going towards you! My suggestions here are to collect all the items that you see ¿ ammo, machine gun upgrades and even the ¿x2¿ points panels. This is by far the most fun of all the multiplayer games! It is exactly like a shooter, but you can¿t use a light gun ¿ there are even boss battles! There are three levels of play ¿ you have to finish the ones before to access the later ones. Get used to moving and using the items and this game is a breeze. The first is that movement is possible only by pressing the shoulder buttons. This plays the same as the race one, but with a few exceptions. Golf, just like in the first game! Still just as fun, and just as relaxing! My suggestion is to understand the rules of golf and get the hang of the controls. Just use the rims, the white sight makes it easy to judge angles and such!īowling yourself is hard work! Just try to hit the head pin with medium to high power to get easy strikes. There are four different sets of rules to play by, as well as a tournament mode. That and you should get as many stars as possible! My hints for this game? Grab as many items that you can, and use them. ![]() Glide through the rings to get points, grab stars for bonus points and land on the target to get credit for beating the round. Slide down the ramp and at the apex of your jump press B to open up your ball. I suggest staying away from your opponents and hitting them in the back to send them flying off the stage! There are items that will drop into the ring to give the game a little unpredictability. The one with the most points gets the win. Each time that you do it, you will get more points. The object here is to knock all opponents out of the ring. Control your movements as you would on a regular level ¿ try to stay on the course when going around sharp corners! Collect the items and learn what they are used for and blast your foes with them! There is also a grand prix mode, which makes it a little more competitive for multiplayer play. The play still is similar to Mario Kart in a way. There are six different tracks to play on in this mode. Here are some tips that I found helpful while playing: Most party games are playable for up to four players at a time, and some have special single-player modes to them. The other six can be unlocked one at a time for the price of 2500 play points. At the start of play there is but six of the twelve games unlocked. ![]()
